About the Ileostomy Association of South Australia

‘you are never alone’

The Ileostomy Association of South Australia Inc. (IASA) was founded in 1959, as a response to the growing need for a local support and distribution centre for Stoma patients and their carers.

The Ileostomy Association is an Incorporated Non-Profit Charity organisation and managed by its member elected committee. Our services are provided through the efforts of our team of dedicated staff and volunteers.

IASA is a member of the national Australian Council of Stoma Associations Inc (ACSA).

ACSA is comprised of representatives from each of the 21 Ostomy Associations around Australia. It is managed by an elected Management Committee and oversees the operation of the Stoma Appliance Scheme.
